Default ok im back

just got home from my outing and it was a good one...i met a guy named Mike Garrett who lives here in Hereford who says that he is related to THE Garrett family.very interesting guy...we must have shot the breeze for 3 hours!(we were kicked out of the school parking lot which was rediculous). but running into this guy was the best find iv'e made yet! he and i may be partnering up to detect some places out here. just in the short time we talked i learned a good deal about my area for md'ing. he goes out every day and has found tons of stuff. told me a couple good places to check out too. been at this for years. i'm really happy about meeting him because this is what i need in order to progress in this and he is such a cool old guy...lots of cool stories ! i also found two pennys! seems like i never get skunked when i go out now. but he told me that i really need to get a better detector, as he looked at my Famous Trails with disdain! lol but he said that its a good place to start. so all in all im really happy about today's hunt. might not have found any silver or gold but the contact iv'e now made is priceless! has anyone heard of this guy? he has been all over the country and he is into old bottles. said he has made thousands on them, especially the barrel looking ones that are colored. very interesting fellow and a very good day>
