I used to shoot minnows in our lake out back. I would shoot at gar, but those things must be related to aligators, they're so tough and toothy.

For something as big as an Alligator Gar you've got to increase the ordinance used, try a Pipe Bomb. Very simple to make from basic household chemicals, just be careful at the assembly point to ground out any static charge and for goodness sake don't hold on to the Durn thing once you light the fuse!
