Default batteries for the Garrett ACE 250

I just 3 250's, one for my son for his Birthday today, and figured I might as well get my wife and I one too and we can all detect together (and that can be her Valentines day present).

Does anyone use rechargable batteries for their MD? Just wondering if those would be best to use??

Default Batteries

The absolute best batteries that I have found to use in the ACE250 are KIRKLAND 1.3 AA's. I have to order mine out of PA but you may can find them in your area also. I usually get about 72hrs+ per change.

You can get them at Costco's if you have one in your area....Fantastic Price too...Not expensive at all !

I have the 250 as well, don't use rechargables, but was thinking about it. I'm sure someone will have the answer.

At 3X the batteries, I'd definately check-out the rechargables.

Thanks for the tip PAPPY, there's a Costco in Indianapolis I'll have to see if they carry them.

sandyfeet- I seemed to get about 1/2 the time Garrett claims they last.....but I change them at 2 bars, so they're probably close.

I use rechargables. I really don't care how long they last...I keep 2 sets and rotate them. Saves the environment and saves me from having to buy lots of batteries.

Pretty much how I look at it, plus I also take along a set of alkalines, just in case.

lol, don't worry much about the environment though......the government will destroy the planet long before global warming or pollution does.......
