detecting in calichi
calichi is what they call the kind of dirt we have here. it's alot like the frozen ground ya'll have up there except it's just really compacted like cement, almost. so forgive me if i don't post alot of finds! it can be alot of work digging out targets and id be out there alot more if i could dig them easier, like if i had a mini jack-hammer! also, in this kind of ground coins won't sink so they get found rather quickly. it's quite the challenge! this wont deter me though because a target is a target and will be dug ...whatever it takes! later guys!

I would almost bet he has to scrape the ground to get down to any depth..That's the hard way for sure...Buster....

hard diggin'
i'm using a garden shovel, screwdriver, and a hammer for now. i do need a differant shovel though. i hope i dont damage the first find of any value i might come across. this is where a mini jack-hammer for md'ing would be good to have. could this be my million-dollar idea? lol later- cory

you might try hunting right after it rains... might soften up the ground a bit...
