Question Where do you find most of your good stuff?

Do you have more luck finding good stuff in grassy type areas or do you find more at the beach? Or maybe in the water? Good stuff varies from person to person. Relics to coins to jewelery. So you make the call on what is most valuable to you.

Cool WOW a 50/50 split between surf pirates and dirt fishers.

I'm surprised that there aren't any votes from the drysanders and wetsanders, yet. This is interesting!

Cheers,

BDA

I am such a dope, I was the second one to respond to the poll and the first guy was a dirt fisher. I hope my old Stats Prof doesn't read this, he'll be catching a plane to fly down here and kick my stupid butt.

Not much in the way of beaches around here other than Kaw Lake. So I guess I'm a landlocked dirt pirate!

Default best spot for treasure

I haven't done any beach hunting here as of yet,but I do plan on hitting some of our local reservoirs next fall when they are low,I cant imagine there are too many people md'ing there.

just occurred to me kindaoff topic, way out there, somebody mentioned grassy areas, anyone hear ever find any 6.5 carcano brass on a grassy knoll? Just a thought only kidding.
Hank

Default 6.5

6.5 carcano brass would be empty cartridges from a 6.5 italian carcano rifle this is the rifle/cartridge used to assasinate John F. Kennedy

When I read the first post about grassy areas,my mind'sfirst thought was grassy knoll and had to share a thought.I hope it's not too tasteless.
It would be neat to do crime scene investigations, looking for this sort of stuff I think I noticed garret markets their ace 250 as a csi 250 just for such things. I found it in the grainger catalog at work!!only it's nearly $300 throught them

I have to say none of the above. Now let me explain, I go into the desert and mtns. I come across old foundations or any man-made structures, mines etc. that's where I detect. I've thought about schools and parks, but never have tried.
Guess that makes me the oddball.
