Greetings again everyone, wanted to give you an update on my finds so far. From my vast experence of 2 weekends of hunting. I was getting very frustrated hunting and scanning, trash and trash. I was heading back to the car and hit something, it was a small group of coins a quarter, dime and nickle nothing old but it got my pulse up a bit. LOL
I spent the rest of the day with a new vigor I thought every beep was a coin or some forgotten treasure. I found one more penny dated in 60's nothing special to anyone else but I was excited just to see it. Now I'm trying to find time during the week to get out there. Guess I got the fever now. TRASH ![]() |

Congrats, Mate! You just got through a classic step in becoming a real MD'er - you've learned to trust your machine. It's very odd but newbies starting out have a innate sense of disbelief that the stick with the pie pan on the end will magically find metal, even though we just spent a few hundred bucks for a machine that is supposed to do exactly that.
Until you learn to trust the machine you won't be able to progress as an MD'er. Obviously you are hooked now! Good Hunting to You, BDA ![]() |

Congrats on the finds!! You found a nice little "pocket drop". Those are all ways sweet. Keep listening for that same sound. Try alternating the sweep 90 degrees and see if the sound remains the same. Lot of times trash will chanfe, coins do not often change, Beale.
