Default Nielsen TV ratings survey

Has anyone ever participated in one of their surveys. We are just winding up on one, it last's for a week. You have to keep up with a diary for every minute of a week. It's not a complicated as it seems. I thought it was pretty interesting to do, after looking back on it.
Here is an example what you do;

Default Mate I don't even have cable.

I just don't watch TV. To be honest, with the big screen hanging on the wall the Princess is after me to get it so I should have cable sometime in the next few weeks.
Now I'll have to watch those stupid reality shows with her again.
A small price to pay if it keeps my Darling happy, I guess.

Cheers,

BDA

I did something sorta like Nielsen back in the 80s and they sent me a crisp dollar bill.

Hey BDA, how's your princess? Is she back home?

Yea Pris they sent me $2 for my trouble. Inflation, I reckon

E, They are probably gonna be bored with mine also, all I watch is History Discovery, news or the food channel, oh and Gunsmoke.

BDA, glad I don't have to be on that couch, I don't care for reality shows.

OBmit, I hope I don't get any more. I don't think I will after they see what I watch.

We did one along time ago, can't remember much about it though.

We also did some kind of shopping survey by A. C. Nielson called Scan Track (or something like that). Got quite a few smaller prizes. They gave you a little scanner to scan the barcodes then I believe once a week you hooked it up to your telephone line and transferred what you bought that week to them. Really got to be a pain, carrying in 5-6 bags of groceries and having to scan them before putting them away
