Default Selling your finds

Hey guys, New to the fourm here. I just started MD a year ago. I have a few large beaches that are about 5 min from my home. I had took some pics of my 07 finds "alot of gold". Anyway what do you use to test the gold jewlrey you find? Not all what i have is marked. Also some of the small studs have diamonds as well. Also how do you go about selling your gold? Do you have some one you go to?

Default Acid Test Kit will give you the karat on your unmarked finds

Special jewellery finds are worth more as jewellery than as just gold so sell those in the classifieds or on E-Bay, etc. Regular gold and silver can be melted down at Midwest Refineries in Michigan they will assay your gold and pay you the spot price on your gold and silver by cheque or in gold or silver bars. Pawn shops will also buy your finds but the prices offered is usually less than what you can get privately or through a precious metal refinery.

Cheers,

BDA

creek i find so many tabs i could recycle them for a profit lol. We get thousands of people on our beaches during the warm days. Quite a few hunters as well, and by the way they hunt has tought me to be better. Its almost dog eat dog sometimes. These guys are at a fast jog hopping all over the place and only scoop solid hits. I work a small section at a time keeping my coil low, over laping and work a grid pattern. The way they swing you would think there golfing! I find 5-20 dollers worth of clad when i go out all the way down to small stud earings that fall though the scoops.

we are in the same boat. I just posted the same thing. Read mine. I assume there has to be some testing kit and some type of conversion charts about the weight. Also I would assume that one of the main things is a little weigh that tells you how much the jewlery weighs. I think I have figured this out with common sense but I want to see what the pro's here do it. Good post. Thanks.
