There's a Marine Archeologist who is hunting for ancient civilizations based on water levels and shoreline locations during the Ice Ages. This is taking us back 8,000 to 20,000 years ago and some of his finds are very interesting if a bit controversial. It makes one wonder what would happen to our society if another ice age occurred, 80% reduction in food crops, destruction of infastructure, a lowering of the world's sea level by 200 feet. It's hard to make a guess at the consequences but some how I don't think civilization as we know it would survive intact; pockets of civilization but overall I think chaos would reign and barbarism would replace civilization on most of the planet.
Sorry for digressing Anne, very kewl finds and it begs the question what else is still out there?

Cheers Hon,

BDA

I think barbarism is already taking place.............I think civilisation would go back to the begining.........Hunter Gatherers and hopefully over the centuries they would make better of the planet than we have.
