thats a great idea...when i get the ace i will probably have to do that. my current machine doesn't have that kind of readout for objects, just a needle indicating ferrous or non-ferrous.

I actually memorized mine so that I could dig the quarter and dime signals and fill my pouch with can slaw and tabs.
Now I go by the tones and use the VDI just as a guide. There are a few spots that I dig everthing just to clean it for the next time. I get to practice my digging and pinpointing that way. Have fun!
