Cool newbie question about hunting tree lawns

i did a search and nothing came up using this term. question is..people put out trash here on tree lawns which i believe is city property but home owners get real techy if you mess with it. would it be good to get city permission to hunt there or go along until you get yelled at?

I would ask Portraitartist on this one..He hunts a lot of side grass areas by parking meters and sidewalks...He finds a lot of stuff when he does..I believe it is city property...just like the parks and playgrounds, but I would check with your city to be sure..Also check in the forum area under easements That will bring up some info on side walk hunting.....Buster...

In some towns and cities the owner retains a vested interest in the trash UNTIL its loaded on the collection truck. In others the owner looses any interest as soon as its put out for collection and becomes public property.. You might want to check with your city offices for clarification.

I would check with the city first, see what you can find out from them.
