Default Metal Detecting Robot

Is this true or just some type of scam. I saw and heard that someone I think from England has invented a detecting robot and according to this person it has found quite a lot of stuff. Does it really exist or is it some prank. Do you guys know what I am talking about or am I crazy? Would like to know more about it. The good thing if a robot like that exist it could make you rich. Bad part of it is that I probably not metal detect anymore since the robot is better than me then my life would be boring again. Let me know. thanks.

It's true. When they make one that digs the target, I may be interested .

I have never read anything about this do you have any more info? I wondered why with all the new imaging devices that they have why no one has come up with a MD that would hit on the target and then give you a real life image of what is below. I have seen the GTA machines where they size it but I would think there would be some way to at least see what was below ground 4-6 inches. This way you could look at your on screen graph listen to your ping, check your target reference number, depth, or whatever and then when you hit pin point you see an actual image or at least shape of the item. It would cost an arm an a leg I imagine but heck it wasnt that long ago that computers and such were big bucks.

Cool Maybe this one?

Could this be the one you'r thinking of? It's a remote control with a video camera. DIY metal-detecting robot platform - SlashGear .

My wish would be to do away with the VDI numbers and screen interpretation of my MXT, and program the computer to say "iron", "aluminum", "silver", or any other of a hundred different words instead of BEEP in different tones.

Thanks
Leo

Humm I think the fun part is finding the beeps and looking around at the suroundings after the target is dug up and thinking about the history of the target..

What fun is there in something else finding and digging for us. Where is the exercise, the excitement, the dirt under the nails and all the other exciting stuff that makes MDing fun. Ease and simplicity is whats made the world as it is. No one actually "works" to get anywhere anymore. We have become overweight and unmotivated because things are too easy and the thrill is gone. I MD because its fun and gets me off the sofa or out of the chair. I get to enjoy the fresh air and sneeze at the smell of grass. Digging is hard work at times but when I bring up that super great, super deep, pull tab I am queen of the park. I have unearthed a great treasure that hasn't seen the light of day in a long time, and, besides I live playing in the dirt.
