Nice find Tom!.....Don't those Barbers just get your heart pumping?.....
If you plan on keeping the coin...clean for your benefit (to look nice)..... ......Dipping like Gregory said....or electrolysis.....either way works....I sometimes use a little baking soda and warm water and rub lightly with my fingers...Do this if you only plan on keeping it for yourself tho...It does leave very very minute abrasions that a dealer could pick out..... Thanks for the info!
I have decided to keep my options open and leave it as is for the time being. Hope to find some other coins at the site.
