Default Not your run of the mill digging aids!

From the land of the Bluenose.....had a rare half day with no work, ground frozen and snow covered and Marie to myself so I decided that I would do one of her favourite things.......shop!

Of course the first stop was at Tim's for a tea with Marie showing me what a winner she really is! Lord love a duck I must have brought at least 20 cups of coffee and not a sniff.

Chilly day and limited places to shop so we drove through Dartmouth and watched through the bushes as Lord Nelson sailed into the harbour. Just hope those blokes leave behind a little treasure for this bouy to find!

After stopping at a few "girlie" stories we hit a shop that this bouy was able to pick up a long over due tool for the hobby at Staples... a new keyboard which doesn't have any keys that stick and doesn't produce a meal everytime you turn it upside down and shake. No more missing "n's" ,"b's" and such while posting metal detecting finds or responding to fellow diggers posts!

Of course no shopping trip would be complete without a stop at the man's handyman store ..Canadian Tire a.k.a....Crappy Tire where I picked up a new rock! Bouy will now be sharp as a tack youz!

From there I suggested that a trip to Payzant's was in order with Marie a tad in the dark about that stop. Since we are going on vacation next month any bouy worth his salt herring has to make a stop at a lumber yard....for a new dowel for the sieve! Once home Rutgar became attached to the pole thinking it was a tree. Of course when he got into the swing of it he wanted to be called Master Rutgar...Kung Fu Master. Son of a sea horse someone throw a lease on that dwog. Have to cut him and the pole down to size to fit in the suit case. Seriously thinking of leaving him home.

Shopping was wearing this poor bouy down. Wearing him down how bad you say? Well bad enough that his legs were wearing down and he had to bum around!

Last stop...Wally World which seems to be Marie's paradise but this Bluenoser got in another digging aid...rechargeable batteries for the camera. What is a post without pictures? Some compare it to going sailing without a boat. Man that is deep! Sherman Hines and MacKaskill look out!

Ask what Marie got...............um took me home! Of course I told her there was other ladies in my life so I introduced her to these two fine ladies from my past that I had the pleasure to meet in the Dingle Park! Not the "Golden Girls" but sometimes one has to settle for second choice.

Let me tell you me son cabin fever has no cure save for a swinging the Garrett and getting dirt under your finger nails!

I know what you mean Leslie, a woman will wear a man down shopping any day. But at least you came home with some "toys", I mean tools!

I absolutely hate shopping for anything that isn't for me...I know it sounds bad - but it's true...I just don't have the patience for it...every once in a while, Peg tricks me into grocery shopping...she SWEARS she's just going to pick up one or two things - and it turns into 90 minutes or more...I can usually speed her up, by throwing random things into the cart...
