Aye, I did forget it was St. Patrick's, but the Irish Fitzgerald blood running through me veins prompted me to take a toddy when I got home from work.

Default Savannah Ga didn't forget and bet they never will forget this years

Savannah, Ga is well famous for keeping in the tradition of celebrating St. Patty's Day. Storms came in on Sat. Night and while everyone was partying, the city power system went out! From what I hear as of this morning they were still working to get some of the power back on. A transformer went out is what we were told but gosh, that must have been ONE HUGE TRANSFORMER to wipe out the whole city down town. We celebrating our 12th anniversary in Savannah so that's why we were there. When the power went out... it was about 10:00 pm and we were in Denny's trying to get something to eat. I guess we Metal Detected too late cause we missed getting dinner. Went back to the hotel and had to use the Laptop as light to even take a bath.... the cell phone came in handy as well for lights. Next time I go someplace, I won't leave that flashlight!!!!
Hope everyone was safe as we had many tornadoes touch down in my area. Branchville, SC was torn up I am told.

That weather system made some big news nationally. Must have been a mess. Glad y'all made it through alright. I guess now you should celebrate getting through that alive!!
