Default I have 2 necklaces

One I think I bought a while back and the other I found in school here in a locker (i cannot take credit for metal detecting them) I have it at my office here and it has been about 2 months and no one has claimed it so of this Friday no one comes by for it I will take it home and scan a picture of it. The other one I bought a while back is very similar. The similarities about both of them is that they both say 14k Italy. These 2 chains have nothing to do with each other when it comes to me cause one i bought years ago and the other one i found here. Is Italy gold different from other gold? The chain has a yellowish color but the coloy is not as bright as the color of other gold items I have seen. Let me know. Thanks on advance and I will be posting pics in the weekend about this. I have a feeling no one will claim the chain by this Friday and it has already been ample time.

To my knowledge, Italian gold is no different than any other gold as far as content. Italy has a long history of gold jewelry making. It is perhaps their long tradition and reputation for making elegant, middle to high-end jewelry that drives them to proudly mark their jewelry with this distinction.

Default Wow!

Thanks steve. That is good to know. I will take a picture of both the chains if no one claims that one chain and give everyone here as much details as I can see, remember, or anything. Both these chains to me look yellowish but they do not seem to look super yellow like 100% supperior gold I mean that could be maybe because this is a chain and the ring that I found is also 14k and looks a yellower color. Can it be that one or both of these chains could be gold plated? Also is there such a thing called white gold? I know I have so many questions cause I am such a beginner at this. The more I get familliarized at this the more I will know and not ask so many petty questions. Thanks all.
