Default white gold vs. yellow gold

are they the same in value? what is the difference? My dad and I are curious. Thanks in advance.

Gold in it's purest form is yellow, White gold is made with nickel. So I would say yellow is the way to go.

The karat mark is what indicates the gold content, whether the gold is mixed with white metals to make it white or copper to keep it yellow, makes no difference to the gold content. Personally, I like both forms of gold but once you send a piece to the smelter it makes no difference, you get paid out on the gold content only.

Except for a white gold flash that might actually be a Platinum Flash, I'll take that over warm yellow in my scoop any day.
