R.I.P. randy roads

today many years ago we lost a great guitarest born 12-6-1956-3-19-1982....

Right on Toad!

I had the privledge to see the Young Master perform 2 times!!

1st time 1981 Blizzard of Oz Tour Pine Knob, Michigan and 2nd time was 1982 Diary of a Madman tour Cobo Hall, Detroit Mi.

I was totally blown away when I heard of the accident and still think of him to this day..

I was also fortunate in 1990 to work backstage during the Ozzy No more tours tour and I carefully positioned myself next to Zakk Wildes amp.

He took a break during an Ozzy thing and he took the time to share a few words with me.

He asked me how his guitar sounded and I asked him if he was a Randy Rhodes fan.. (1st thing that came to my head)

Without hesitation he said, Randy was a Saint, Im still practicing..

and he walked back onstage to shread the neck for another hour..

Though I never knew Randy, I saw him rip up the guitar neck like I never saw anyone. From what Ive read he was a very thoughtful and kind soul...
