Grams vs. DWT
is there a difference between the two? Going to buy a scale with grams to measure gold. What is the difference between the two? are they the same?is there a convertion formula between the two. Let me know. Will try to buy one today but might not be able to since it is Easter and a lot of the stores are closed. Please let me know asap. Thanks

There's a difference between grains and grams but no difference between pennyweight and dwt.
If you're just measuring jewelry a gram scale should suffice. If you're measuring gold flake you'd probably want a scale that measures down to grains or at least pennyweight. A pennyweight (dwt) = 24 grains 1 gram = 15.432358352941 grains
