According to the day of course the gold value is going to be a bit more or less. Now thanks to you guys that I have a pretty good idea on how much my gold is worth when I take it to either a jewler or pawn what would be a fair percentage or cut that these people should get? For example when you give a tip at a restaurant it is usually 15%. What is the usual percentage that these guys get of the jewlery? I want to make a deal, know the value of my jewlery, and know around how much the jewler or pawn dealer is getting that way I do not get ripped off and the person buying the gold from me goes happy as well. Thanks in advance.

Hey....
well pawn shops and most jewelers will try and make as much as they can.. not sure what percentage of spot they will give you, but midwest refineries will give you 96% of spot which is a great deal.... they seem to be reliable which is a big factor.... good luck jT
