Gold/metal Refinerirs

I am going to hit a couple of places to sell my jewlery but if I do not get a good deal I might just ship it to a refinery. I have never done this before and would want to know how it works? A bit skeptical about the whole thing. Also sandskimmer said that there is one that only takes 4% which sounds like a great deal. Also how do you insure that the jewlery gets there safely? Also if by any chance if something is wrong with the jewlery like gold pladed (not my case) would they ship it back to you? This jewlery thing is driving me nuts. I want to get it over with and sell it but I also want the best bargain. Also would like to know if you have done it what the best refineries are? Thanks in advance.

best way to insure your package. is to register it and insure it....

with registration everyone that touches it has to sign for it.. so there is a good paper trail...

Everyone Ive talked to seems to like Midwest..... havent hear of anyone getting screwed out of anything....

they will send it back to you if you ask... also if you have stones in the jewelry, its best to take them out.... midwest will throw them away or sell them...
