So far I've found one very old license plate, a lot of nails, some funky green pennies and other misc. change.. but who's counting? I'm just here to have fun, giggle, and make friends along the way!

Oh yeah, I almost forgot about the wonderful writings of Leslie (from the land of the Bluenose)!!!! He's just fantastic, too. :)

I've been told that I'm a good writer, by several folks, but have never really capitalized on it. Most of my writings have been directed to political issues, and/or politicians about certain things that concern me. In other words, I'm good at writing "BS" to other people that are already full of "BS". So, it's probably a waste of good "BS". If I can convert my "BS" into another form which will be considered interesting to the good folks here, I'll give it a shot.

All stories have a little bit of BS in them if they're interesting. That's what makes for a good story but I only like a pinch of BS in my own tales. My Gramp and my Uncle Jack were more liberal with the BS but they were still great stories, sometimes just for the unbelievability of them.
Write it down and let the maddenning crowd decide if the story is good or not. Having a thick skin is an excellent asset for a writer.

Cheers,

BDA

10-4. I think I'll pop a couple of ex-lax and put the pen to the paper.

BDA, I love to write short stories, and have acually started 2 on this forum but was interupted by my 2 small boys in the middle and had to stop. I don't know about you but when I get on a roll writing I can't be interupted or I lose the whole thing. I'm going to write some here, but I guess I have to do it late at night when the boys are in bed. Anyway, I'm glad you brought this up, and I hope to contribute soon.

I usually find it easier to write in 1 to 2 hour bursts, so my short stories come out in parts and a finale. Once I start a segment I have to finish it and I can't stand interruptions, the Princess is usually pretty good about leaving me alone for that period of time as I'm a grumpy as a bear if interrupted. Breaking a story down into parts also makes the task less daunting than spilling out 3,000 words at one go. I just go back to where I left off, reread the previous segment and continue from there as I have the whole story in my head before I start part 1.
Maybe this will work for you to, Rob.

Cheers,

BDA
