Default Does Anyone Else Like to Write Short Stories?

Some of you may have read some of my short story postings over the past month and I wondered if anyone else has the writer's bug? Stories about metal detecting or funny stories or stories with a lesson to them are some of my favorites. If anyone else has a story to tell, I'd love to read it.

Cheers All,

BDA

I noticed that sometimes I start my posts out with the intent of a small bit but it turns into a short story, does that count?

Your stories are fun to read and It would be cool if others would share ones as well.

I think John is a great writer, too, so maybe he'll submit something, as well.

I do quite a lot of writing - both for work and for fun - in fact, you'll see a bit 'o my scribblin' in today's AW8 clue...

I can only write when I'm emotionally moved by something... and I can't write things that aren't real. I consider myself more of a documenter and less of a writer - thus a degree in Technical Writing and not Creative Writing. Infact, I almost think I'm TOO good at technical documentation because I have a really hard time letting go and just... writing.

However, I do consider myself an engaging writer... and I've been told on many occasions that I have a compelling 'voice' within my documents.

I should leave this topic now. I could write quite a bit more... but only because I love you guys and like to share bits of my personality with you. I encourage you all to write, especially about metal detectors. Manufacturers do a woeful job of documenting their products and I rely on you guys more than you know.

And if you want some advice on exceptional, inspiring early American literature, please look into Henry David Thoreau - I often think of you guys when I read his (and Ralph Waldo Emerson's) work because he loved nature, the forest, the Earth....

Now read my favorite comic strip EVER and laugh.
