Default Could someone throw us a lifejacket?

Well, it's raining for about the 5th or 6th day in a row I think. I when I say raining I mean RAINING. Can't travel alot of the roads now due to high flooding water. Every Bridge looks like it's going to giveway with all the debris piling up under them. Somebody call Noah!! We need some relief. And no, there's been no metal detecting. I don't have a surf machine. I hope all is well with everyone else. It's dreary here. Hey Arkwater, you still floatin?

I think I'm gonna be screwed on my beach hunting this year. The lake is almost 20 feet above normal & still rising! All the beaches are under at least 15 feet of water & won't be open if the water stays high! The only good thing is the easy digging from all the rain.

I saw on the news last night where about 60 homes in Benton were burning from tornado damage. Gotta love Arkansas weather!

I sure hope the rain stops and y'all dry out soon. We are suppose to get 2" tomorrow, but we need it. Our reservoirs are still lower than normal.
It will make a mess of my job site of about 20 - 30 acres cleared off and nothing but red clay[ mud], we will be slip sliding away.
glad to here everyone is ok.

Looks like tot lots will be the only choice! Some (grassy) places around me hold water after rain so I can't plug until they dry out a bit. Nothing like water filling your hole after you lift a plug LOL. Luckily other parks disperse water quickly. Then again I have tot lots with wood chips on top of cement so those can be underwater now and then LOL.

OZ, enjoying the relatively wet spring as opposed to the 6 month drought last year.

So far we are still afloat. We live on a hill but, some of the roads around us are under water. I noticed my malamute has been looking at scuba magazines. Do ya think he knows something we don't?

Catfishing in the backyard, hmmm. This could become a reality if the rain doesn't stop. A lot of the fish/cattle ponds are overflowing into the fields and roads. I can not remember a time when we got this much rain in so short of time. The road my mother lives on has washed out so many times that the county is fighting a loosing battle. She lives toward the bottom of hill on her road. Her house is safe so no worries there. The driveway is another story. A lot of the driveways have been washed out and need to be replaced again. So far every time they get rebuilt, they washout again and the culverts end up down water from where they were.

I realize that we were in a semi drought condition and that this has now broken. Now it seems we are in one of those 100 year flood conditions.

I got a nice bass this morning in the grader ditch out on the highway. I am thinking I am stupid but going to the ATV trail this afternoon. I notice there is some primitive camping areas on the trail and was wondering if by chance I can ford the streams if I can get to them and maybe look for some goodies that might have been lost ? Out of curiosity any one tried this approach? Those camping areas are very deep back in the woods here was going there out of pure boredom of watching the rain. According to the weather channel and local weather we are supposed to get a 3 day break with absolutely no possibility of any rain. LOL yeh right .

Default Mother Nature

Mother Nature works in mysterious ways. We need the rain here in Dillon, SC to get our water table back up so we won't experiance another drought this year and you need more dry weather there.
