Default Scarry day at work

Hello, Had to post this story about work today.
I work at a daycare/preschool. I was told a van was parked in our parking lot for 2 hours with one person in it. Anybody knows, a stranger where kids are at is suspicious. I am the only male at work. Myself and the director approached this person and asked why was he in our arking lot for so long. His response was "Get out of my face before i shoot you" WOW! That was not expected! With my past law enforcement experience, my first extinct was to push my director aside and grab ahold of this guy so he would not go for his gun, but i waited a few seconds. This guy was drunk or on drugs. We backed away. My director ran back to the building to call 911, i stayed outside at a distance to get his plate number. While doing that, he backed up and left, but when he did, when he went past me, he held a gun out the window and fired a shot in the air! He could have easily fired at me. I was scared! But i had to protect the kids. I could have went inside, but knew the police needed the plate number. So, i was scared, but also am proud of what i did. SO, how was your day?? Thanks for reading.

You did the right thing. Don't try to confront these wackos or you will end up injured or pushing up daisies. I hope the cops got that fruit loop.

Thanks for getting the plate number. That guy needs to be put away for a while.

Sorry to hear you had to deal with a crazy guy. Kuddos on your actions as you wanted to protect the kids...Im sure the parents are greatfull. Sorry to hear you were in distress....I was in the Marines for 20 yrs and was the typical A-type personality who tried to solve problems...but you did good. Glad to hear he only fired into the air, I hope they catch that bas@#$d.
