Default Advice Needed

Hello Friends,
I am trying to get a rig set up, a belt with all the accessories needed for hunting. A belt that i can just put on and take off etc. I ordered a web belt from Kellyco, it came today. Looks like the kind i wore in the Army, but black. I like the belt, has the push in clip etc. I also bought the 3 pocket pouch. I thought i could add that onto the belt, but it does not have the loop on the back to thread it onto the belt. Just has a string at both ends, i can not figure out how to put that on the belt or how it would stay on there. Of course you can tie it around your waist, but i want everything on a belt instead.

I am asking for your opinions on how your belt is set up, what you have on it etc. I think i am better off just buying some 1 big pocket pouches that has the loop on the back. Does everybody have a basic belt, or something else? My belt will be important to me so want it to look good. Thanks for your opinions.

Hi Kid, I got the same belt, buckle is too big to go through the pouch loops. I ended up getting a lighter belt that does fit through it. I like the heavier belt better but until I get a bigger looped pouch it will have to do. I used to do Leather work and I still haven't made me a nice pouch. lol

Hey Kid I went over to the local Lowes and got a belt. I ended up buying a leather one. I have also got a cloth tool pouch that slides on it, along with my Minelap finds pouch, and a hammer holder. By the time I put all that on not much room for anything left.

I do have an idea for your pouch. Take a piece of leather or heavy cloth. Cut it into wide strips like 2-3" wide and long enough to put belt through, each. Attach them to the pouch bu sewing or these.

It should work. Good luck, Beale.

Hi Beale,
I think i will just go to some hardware stores around here and get some pouches and a heavier belt too. Alot easier putting something onto the belt through a loop. THanks. XLTKID

If ya have an army surplus store close by they have metal clips that go through the loop in the pocket than slip over the belt, push the pin and it's closed. Works really good when using suspenders because you can remove a pocket without even taking the belt off just pull the pin and slip it off, takes a little effort but won't come undone by accident.
