Gas rationing in the 80's worked even though we grumbled about it.
It might even be good for us!

The Saudis are boycotting American goods.

We should return the favor.

An interesting thought is to boycott their GAS. Every time you fill up the car, you can avoid putting more money into the coffers of Saudi Arabia Just buy from gas companies that don't import their oil from the Saudis.

Nothing is more frustrating than the feeling that ery time I fill-up the tank, I am sending my money to people who are trying to kill me, my family, and my friends.

I thought it might be interesting for you to know which oil companies are the best to buy gas from and which major companies import Middle Eastern oil.

These companies import Middle Eastern oil:
Shell.......................... 205,742,000 barrels
Chevron/Texaco.........144,332,000 barrels
Exxon /Mobil..............130,082,000 barrels
Marathon/Speedway.. 117,740,000 barrels
Amoco..........................62,231,000 barrels

Citgo Gas comes from South America, from a Dictator who hates Americans.

Do the math at $30/barrel, these imports amount to over $18 BILLION! (Oil is now $100.00 a barrel)

Here are some large companies that
DO NOT import Middle Eastern oil:

Sunoco................0 barrels
Conoco................0 barrels
Sinclair................0 barrels
BP/Phillips..........0 barrels
Hess...................0 barrels
ARC0...................0 barrels

Also: Pilot, Flying J, Love's, RaceTrac, Valero

All of this information is available from the Department of Energy
and each is required to state where they get their oil and how much they are importing.

But to haven impact, we need to reach literally millions of gas buyers. It's really simple to do.

If each of us sends an e-mail out to ten more people within one day, all 100 MILLION people could conceivably be contacted within the next eight days!

Just becuse thoes companies do not import oil from outher countries, does not mean the gas at their stations is not a import....Most plp think that Fords and Chevy's are American made, but they should say assembled in America..(Although they are American compaies most of the parts and products that goes into the vehicles are made over seas.) JT good info from the list of 11 companies that dont buy Arab oil/gas where are they getting it from..the Issue is DEEP and Cuts like a knife with most americans..And the reports are out that all the Oil companys are making Billions in profits so Greed accounts for a big amount of fuel cost..around here sheets seems to have the cheapest gas in the county..Its not on your list..

I look at it this way, I need fuel my bussiness needs fuel. I go to my local convience store 'Turkey Hill' and fill up. I like the fact that the owner/ manager hires local people, I know them and thier families. How would a boycot affect the local economy?

well put groundfisher,,and you cant stop buying gas ,,and they all are gouging us,,,i say cut back on traveling unless you just have to,,i drive my 4 cycle ford ranger and let my big dodge quadcab sit,,saves me money,,and i'm not buying their gas every two days,,

Thanks for the info. I have been buying from Hess. Diesel there is 4.11 while down the road at Mobile it is 4.29. Of couse after a few weeks Hess ends up being the same price.

It would also be nice to narrow it down to include imports from Venezuela and the particular countries in the middle east.

Oil company's making Billions in profits...yes...but do you know how much cheaper gas would be if all the taxes were taken off? so how much profit is are government making on something they dont even make or sell, thats fed and state taxes
