Default New Site Discovered Today

I live near a location that has alot of expensive homes that are near some old backroads on the edge of farm land. I was just out joy riding looking for possible new sites to hunt & drove by an abondoned house & barn that looks to be fairly old. Gona see if I can hit it hot & heavy on Thursday
& find anything shiny with my brand new F75 that hasn't been used yet.
Thank God It's Finally Getting Warm Here in SW WI!!! I've got the itch bad!!!

Hope you don't mind a bit of advice from an old timer. Most new hunters make the mistake of covering too much territory and most of it quite haphazzardly. Start at the back door of the house and using something like golf tees [which I used to use] make out a few grids, not very large, say 6'X6' each. Hunt each grid slowly and if you are not sure, go back over it from another direction. Many times what you can't pick up on the initial sweep will set the machine off when hit from a different direction.

After thoroughly searching around the back door/stoop, try to identify where the wash lines used to be. Sometimes goodies were left in pockets, washed and the garment hung up to dry.

Also search along old walkways. Perhaps theres a walkway leading from the back door to the barn. Thoroughly search that on both sides.

Make grids so you know where you've been and still need to go. It eliminates haphazzard searching.
