Default Pearl Harbor Pictures

Last month I told you about my visit to Pearl and Ford Island...yesterday, I received some pictures that my friend took. The first one shows the original flight operations tower on ford Island that has remained untouched since the day of the Japanese attack. The second is what remains of the USS Utah - the flat area is where the superstructure was once attached. The ship is actually lying on its side. The last is the USS Arizona memorial seen from the officer's quarters on Ford Island.

Great pics from hallowed ground. If you ever get a chance to go back, don't miss out on seeing the USS Missouri. I took the tour and it was an awesome experience.

I'll be back there in 2-3 weeks, and plan to take the tour...we drove past the Missouri while on base and it looked awesome!
