Default Another idea of mine...

On the way to work today it occurred to me that I might have some luck designing my own metal detecting-oriented t-shirts and selling them online, like through CafePress... do you guys think there would be any real interest in these?

I've only just begun to noodle on ideas, but I know I'd have a good niche market with treasure hunters, and I'm good at doing t-shirt designs, evidently , so I thought I'd give it a shot and see what y'all though...

They could even be customized to the hunter... amyway, lemme know stuff!

Robert

Go for it Robert, I'm always interested in T-Shits, especially MDing or Treasure Hunters

Default Shirt idea

I think it's a great idea, I thought of the same thing, but wondering if there where graphics, clip art or stuff out there that was detector related. How about T-shirt designs, bumper stickers, & window clings for
cars or trucks. I'm an idea/creative person, but have no artistic talent at all, thank god I have a friend that's a graphic artist when ever I need help!

You know about stuff like
1. I'd rather be detecting
2. Metal Detectorist know how to swing it.
3. Dig Deep Or Go Home!!! (I use this on my posts)
4. Treasure Hunter At Work
5. I can't hear you, why are you still talking!
6. Dig it all and let God sort it out
7. Gold, Silver & Coins O'My
8. Hey do I ask you what your doing!
9. Beach Hunters Do It In The Sand
10. I don't discrimanate I Dig It All
11. Just dig it already will ya
12. It's my toy so leave it alone
13. Metal detectorist know how do probe a hole

There I just thought of those in about 5 mins
off the top of my head! So if ya get wealth
using any of them don't forget me!!!

And of course you could make them brand specific,
if you wanted also, becuse we all know how darn
brand loyal certain people are to their detectors.

Good Luck!!!

That's kindof where I'm goin... just gotta start puttin stuff together...

I'd like to even use pics of people hunting, stylizing them of course, as to not embarrass anyone or invade any privacy - so if you have some good pics of you hunting, I'd love to be able to use them!

Also, good shots of coins, etc...

Also, I'm not sure what kind of regs there are for referring to brands... I'd love to be able to use logos but I'm afraid I'd have to license that... hmm, maybe each company would like a shirt of it's own..?

Robert-
I've checked out metal detecting t-shirts online before. I think it's a great idea. Let us know when you've got some designed.

Default My Two Cents

Don't do it, Cafe Press NO NO NO ...Stay away from Cafe Press . If you want to produce a Quality product stay away from Cafe Press And the likes. Don't do decals either. You need to silk screen the shirts, if you need additional help hit me back and I'll see what we can do. Just keep in mind it will not be cheap to print your first batch of shirts and EVEN A SURE THING LOSES MONEY.

I have an idea for one,but not sure how to do the graphics or draw it up yet. I have had this idea in mind for a couple of months. I'm not sure if it would be a good design, but my wife likes it.

Sounds good. I play banjo and have one that reads "Paddle faster I hear banjo music" always gets a comment. An MD one would be great, specially from a talented artist like you. But do silk screen if you can afford it. They last longer.
