Finally Got Permission Old Home Site
I guess the lesson is never give up. I tracked down the owner of a old abandoned home & barn & I called twice & left msgs to call me back, saying I was interested in detecting on their property, but no call backs.
So this morning as I'm about to walk out the door, I call again & this time the guy answers & I tell him I'm interested in metal detecting on his property & he says I don't see a problem with that. Then I ask him a few questions about the place & he tells me he has only owned the property for two years, but the property goes back to 1860. He told me they have had problems with people breaking in & I told him if the cops happen to stop when I'm there I will carry a piece of paper with his name & phone number on it & tell them I have permission from the owner & they can call & verify it with him if they want. Plus the other nice thing about this place other than it going back to 1860, is it's very close to where I live, like I can be there in less than 5 mins door to door, so I guess I can make it my go to spot for the summer & just hit it hard when ever I want & take my time working it over the summer. Gona try to spend a good 5 to 6 hours there tomorrow & see if I can come up with any good finds to share with you guys!!! Wish Me Luck!!!
