Default Envious, Anxious, and a little frustrated

Northern Minnesota has not heard of the global warming thing yet. We just got done with 2 back to back strorms that dropped 2 ft of snow on the area. It finally melted away and the ground began to dry and yesterday I did some scouting in preparation to use the new detector. It started to rain in earnest (thunder, lightening and such)this morning leaving standing water most everywhere since the ground is still in a frozen condition. The forcast is for rain to continue until tomorrow evening and then snow with accumulations of up to 8 inches. Winter storm watches are posted by the National Weather Service. I don't like to think of myself as a whiner, but reading what you guys are doing with your machines and not being able to get out there is tough!!

Wow roadking, it's hard to think you are still getting snow. I don't know how you deal with such winters.
I hope it warms up for you soon so you can get out and hunt.
My tomato plants are about a foot tall now.

Welcome to TQ
Earl

I feel your pain. I grew up in Northen Michigan and remember years where it snowed every month but August.

It's so beautiful up there when it's not covered with white though.

Roadking Here in Montana it was snowing again this morning.I feel your pain.My last hunt it was 38 degrees with a 25 mph NW wind.5 minutes into the hunt I dug a 1947 Roosevelt dime.It suddenly got a whole lot warmer.I've been lining up old places to hunt when the weather breaks.I have a new detector on the way.Bill
