Chick..I pretty much save all my stuff like you...Good idea....When I was plumbing back in the 80's we used to save all our brass and copper and turn all the stuff in and take the whole crew on a trip...did that 3 years in a row...Ended up white water rafting in Pennsylvania at the Cheat river and the Yuckagaini river..That was quite a good time for sure...good thing to recycle metal....Buster...

Prizm- I never thought of saving all that but you're right, it all adds up. They have just about stripped all the copper out of the vacant houses on my mail route and I saw a shady guy pulling the gutters off one row house. You can't leave any metal on the curb lawn or it's gone.

WTG on being so organized Chick! It's so much easier to separate items as you find them rather than when you're ready to cash 'em in. Those are some good size buckets too... I'm curious to know which one will fill up first!

Keep us posted! And when it's time to empty 'em, you better share with us!

So far I've found one very old license plate, a lot of nails, some funky green pennies and other misc. change.. but who's counting? I'm just here to have fun!
