Default Wall Mart took the cake!

A couple of days ago my wife and I stopped by the local Wall Mart to pick up a couple of things. She saw this strawberry cake at the bakery department and wanted to try it so we picked one up. Well all I can say about it is *^%$$. If you remember those cakes that used to come out of the easy bake ovens?? well they'd be pretty good in comparison.
I didn't know their policy on stuff like that but they say customer satisfaction is a core part of their business so... We were doing out grocery trip tonight and decided to take it back, with sales slip in hand, to see what they'd do.
Policy #1 yea they will exchange a food item for another food item, cool.
Policy #2 no refund only an exchange, OK. I did come to buy food and other stuff too.
Policy #3 the food item being exchanged has to be done at the customer service desk, OK so I'll have to stand in line twice....OK..
Policy #4 and here's the kick in the @#&&, ONLY the exchange can be handled at the customer service desk. In other words if your getting something else you have to go to the general check out.
OK so here's a picture; you shop and get a box of cookies, loaf of bread, some cheese and lunch meat, maybe a six pack to wash it down. Now you go the the check out and pay for everything except the cookies, because they have to go to customer service who won't let you buy the balance of your order. What do you think the person at the cash register will do when you ask them NOT to ring up the cookies??...can you say security?
Other option is to take care of the exchange, remember you'll haver to wait in line to return the cake AND to exchange it for something else. Than go back and do your regular shopping. Not my choice ...Actually my wife stopped me from doing my choice, after the manager came over to explain how it worked, I almost “accidentally” dropped the easy bake cake on her..with an apology of course. I think I did the right thing by just walking out of the store and shopping at a local chain, did leave the cake though.

I believe Sam Walton would roll in his grave if he knew what Wal-mart has turned into..... And you know we are the blame because we keep going back! Go figure! I demanded to see the manager about two weeks ago, as I was telling my complaint I noticed a picture of a guy and a caption that read "Wall-Mart Cares....Call Bob if you have any complaints." .BUT THERE WAS NO NUMBER TO CALL!!!! I ask the manager what was Bob's phone number...but he didn't know the number either!! lol!!! What we will settle for.....service is a thing of the past unless we demand it!

I absolutely, 100% boycott Wal-Mart (and incase the Wal-Mart ceo's are watching; this statement is in no way affiliated with Kellyco, lol!). But no, I will never buy from them, ever ever ever. Sam Walton *never* intended his company to turn into what it has, but it currently is a cesspool for sub-par food, customer service, quality, and American productivity. I read that over 65% of their food comes from overseas suppliers... 65%!!! That's insane! Think about how long it's frozen and/or what kind of preservatives have to go into it to get it here...

You can find me at my local farmers market and/or Fresh Market.

Sorry for the rant... Wal-Mart is a touchy subject for me.
