I usually go after work. I still haven't had the time to do an all-dayer. I found a great series of old foundations out in the woods, I am gonna camp there for the week-end... tent, camp fire, gritty eggs, and all.....

The Best Time Of Year For Me Is Now. The Soil Is Still Moist And The Weather Is Fantastic. Living Here In The Gold Country (sacramento) The Soil Is Medium To Moderate In Minalization. With The Moist And Conductive Soil I Am Able To Get More Depth And Find The Deeper Coins And Relics. Here In California You Can Pretty Much Hunt All Year Around. The Sacramento Summer Heat Though, Can Be Brutal!!!!

Most of the time I hunt during the week in the mornings before I have to go to work.

I primarily CW relic hunt on one farm, and the owners seem to prefer that I go during mid-week mornings. This way, they're usually gone and I don't bother anybody(or the dogs). During the Summer, I go most any time(beaches). I like early mornings then.

Jeff .. that's what I've been doing, hunting from 6 - 10 am at the hood while they are sleeping it off then moving downtown to the old homes and treelawns. I hunt on my rotating days off while my wife is working. No Sunday hunts with church and family time. I like to hunt during school time when the crumb crunchers aren't around.
