Default kids ?

I see we have some kids on here too ............. mine goes along once in a while to watch or help some when digging ..... she is only 6.......... can be used as a family together thing ........ I have seen on here where some of the younger ones have there own md and that is neat to see where they have some responsibility or are trusted with a piece of equipment that cost a little money to buy...........

not sure what I am trying to say but I guess I am impressed by why kids want to do such a different thing like metal detect!!

so lets hear it for the kids !!!

I bought my son a detector when he was a teen, didnt interest him much then, Now that he is grown he is always asking to go. It just seems we are never off on the same days, but we do hunt together from time to time. And my 3 year old grand daughter loves to dig holes for me

It's great when kids want to get involved. They're out getting sunshine, fresh air, and a bit of exercise without even realizing it. :) I wish I had a little short one to go out with me - it sure would save a lot of wear and tear on my old hips and knees! lol

Seriously, it's great exercise and hopefully they will be learning a little bit about coins, history, and responsibility while they're having fun.

Both my children think it (MD'n) is so uncool. Now one is 22 and the young one is 16. The 16 yr old is very much not happy about his dads hobby, Beale.

I have three children. A daughter 17 who isnot into anything mother does and can't wait to move out lol and two sons one who will be 14 this month and a ten year old. My fourteen year old loves to dig for me and my 10 year old likes to help me find targets. I hope they will keep a love of this hobby as well. We even get excited when we dig up old engine blocks or scrap pieces off of wagon wheels lol. We live in the middle of 80 acres of woods so we have lots of places to hunt.
