Default Library Reaserch or other?

Can I find parks around the neighborhood and what year it was built at the library? If yes what section of the library would I need to go to? Can I also find churches, properties, etc? I was thinking about calling all the parks and asking them what year they were built but I rather get a list.
How do you guys find the year a park, or property was built? Please share the secret with me. Thank you in advance.

i usually just look at old maps. its a little inaccurate in that looking at a map from 1900 doesn't tell you when something was actually built, but just that it was standing at that time. to get the exact date, i'm sure you could find it at the library, but i thinnk it might be easier just to ask. also check out some old postcards from the historical society if you can find any.

good luck!
