What's your dream find?

If you could find the treasure of a lifetime, what would it be?

Mine (in order of preference) are:

1. Treasure buried by Captain Kidd, in whole or in part.

2. A revolutionary war era item that can be linked directly to George Washington.

3. The never recovered remaining ransom money paid out by Charles Lindburgh, for the safe return of his kidnapped baby.

The great thing is that I can search for all of these treasures here in New Jersey. Kidd was known to sail our shores, and most locations where he is rumored to have buried booty is only an hour or two away from where I live. Virtually everywhere I travel through central Jersey is rich in Revolution history. Washington's famous Delaware crossing is only 45 minutes away. Princeton Battlefield is 20 mins. away. Lindburgh's estate is about 25 mins. away.

Ain't treasure huntin' great?!?

I dream of finding a big metal box. I open it only to find some items that include a smaller metal box with papers inside it. I read them and they are a woman's description of her life in 1877. She describes the hardship her family is having, her husband has died, a couple of her children are sick. She has put some of their old things in the box and buried them, a couple of old toys, shoes, a christening gown, a lock of her dead husband's hair, all in hopes of maybe someway appeasing the powers that be to help their family in their struggle. Okay, I have a very good imagination. In reality, I want to find more than a few pull tabs.

i would love to find anything that has anything to do with the civil war.
I have found 2 minie balls and i cant help but wonder the fate of the men who last touched them!

I'm not sure if this is a dream or a night mare!

One night I dreamed I was detecting in a really narrow gulch. It was all rock sided and started getting narrower and narrower. I found a nice nugget about the size of my thumb nail. It was still rough and crystal like. A few feet latter I found another , smaller but still rough and crystal like. The gulch was so tight here I could just swing the detector. Coming to the end, I look at the wall and see a 4" wide vein of gold as tall as myself!

Any time I approach a cliff wall I still find my self looking for it!
