Thanks everyone for your suggestions. Yep.... I think a lightweight mesh vest with pockets to carry my: pin pointer, knife, trowel, extra batteries, gloves, water bottle and sandwich is what I need.

fly fishing vests are nice.. and theirs always duck hunting vests that are very lightweight many pockets.. and don't carry the price of a Fly Vest..
