That's funny. But those birds out-smart me alot of the time, so I must be a little on the "slow" side, too. I think I'll start putting marbles in my beer so I won't drown....... Thanks!......DF

Well now my friend, that turkey didn't get to be old by being stupid! lol You have to remember that you're culling out the ones that aren't so bright.

Your posts remind me of a funny thing. I have turkeys here but also turkey buzzards. One time an acquaintance of mine took his brother out turkey hunting. Well, predictably enough, the non-hunter got a buzzard but was quite excited about the kill. Being the ornery cuss his twin is, he let his brother think he had bagged a bonafide turkey dinner for his family. I guess the meat was quite dark and oily looking when they cleaned it and the smell while it was roasting was attrocious.

Of course I think this is hilarious because it's something I'd do to my siblings.

Don't you fret! These be Broz turkeys and not the Willey wild kind. You still be having hope.

The last one I had was named Gob Gob the Great! 50LB of Ugly! His breast was so heavy he could just about walk. He had a thing about Border Patrol and police. If you had a stripe down your leg you be dead meat! He put more then a few up on there trucks in my front drive.

He took a shinning to my sister in laws purple shoe laces and and they are no longer virgins.

Yep you still be ok! No Marbles in the beer! If your in fear, just use a mug small enough that you can't get your beak in it!

That's pretty funny! Turkeys are alot of fun to watch. As for the post about turkeys being mistaken for buzzards, I can relate a similar experience. We had a couple hunters from the city come out and hunt one day. I put them in good tree stands. At the end of the day, I asked them what they saw. One of the guys said "all I saw was a bunch of buzzards come walking up through the woods, right by my stand". Turkey season was in. Of course this error in judgement is "safer" than the other post about cooked buzzard. That one was funny!

We have a pile of turkey buzzard here in the summer. I don't recon they would taste any better then they Look! I know a guy that came around a corner on HY9 and put one through his wind shield. He said it smelled as ugly as it looked!

That would be as bad as having a skunk in the car(a pissed-off one, at that). What a bad experience
