Ticks bite are nothing to ignore. A flat or slightly raised red lesion at the site of the bite expands over several days, with the central area clearing as it expands.Making it look like a bullseye target. Systemic symptoms such as fatigue, malaise , fever, chills and mucle pain often accompany the initial lesion. If untreated it can cause all kinds of problems. Have it checked out as soon as you can, it is treated with antibiotics. Good luck with it let us know how it turns out.
oh and just a note, your not suppose to pull it out with tweezers as its head can detatch and still be left in your skin. I take a capfull of dog flea and tick shampoo and hold it over the tick this usually makes them let go, if it doesnt hold it over the tick until its dead then it will pull off without hesitation.

Hey DF,

Yeah.....this has to be the worst year I've seen here in Virginny. For some reason I've never really had a problem with them when getting out....but this year...geez!!!

In the first week of May, I got out 3 days in a row, working some woodsy and tall grass areas, wearing stuff with DEET in it. I got 6 the first day, 4 the next, and 2 on the third day. I think I used it everywhere except for underarm deodorant!

After the fact, I was told to try using a product called Permanone or something with Permanone in it. I guess you just put it on your clothes and will last up to 2 weeks I think. I haven't had a chance to use it yet.

Makes you wonder how the Native Americans and early settlers got by with these vermin and other things that we take for granted.
