Default OLD Parks !!!

I did some research on OLD parks in my town and discovered an area where the first park was and actually wasnt covered with cement !!! ANYWAY, I detected an area about 50 square feet and got NO signals at all and was ready to call it a day when I got a VERY FAINT signal the VDI on my Spectrum XLT read 7-8"deep and "LOW & BEHOLD" after digging down about 9 " I still got a signal !! STILL something was there !!! AND in the side of the hole at about 7" was a 1922 Peace dollar in VERY GOOD condition !! Needless to say all that research and digging paid off and it was the ONLY signal !! VERY little trash made it possible !I think if there were an abundance of trash like modern day parks , I would have walked right over it !!! HAPPY HUNTING !!! KENNETH

Default 1922 Peace dollar!!

The OLD park that I found the 1922 Peace dollar is just an ordinary field now but back in the 1890s it was a 200 acre park which most of it is cityfied now !! Its a shame that all those other Peace dollars are there under all that cement !! I am thankfull that there still is some of the park left to detect and I think I am the only one that knows that ordinary field once was a park !!! HAPPY HUNTING ! KENNETH
