link to a local paper GlobeGazette.com and then look at the multi-media videos...........look for :

Mitch Inman-The metal detector kid.
Mitch Inman, 14, uses his metal detector and a shovel to unearth historic treasures.
play it and watch how big the plug is I was about falling off the chair laughing

Default Big Plug

Dang maybe he needs a Bigger digging tool HA HA!!! Well at least it looks like he is having fun. Just needs to have a lesson on plug digging I'd say!!! I would think his parents would be kicking his butt for digging massive holes like that in his yard.

I guess he missed the class about digging holes in yards.
The groundskeepers at the local parks would have a fit and throw out everybody they see detecting.

First up i would say he needs a good kick up the butt, but has he been shown the right way to go about digging targets.

It's good to see the young man MD'ing....It appears that he dosen't pin-point very well and would probably be a lot better with a little training. Hopfully someone or some MD club in that area "Charles City Iowa" will see this and offer a little assistance......
