Gary, that's the kind of boredom I'd like! And I would love it if it would just stay 70-82 here but it's going to be in the 90s by Friday.
Anne, it seems like the world is getting drenched! echostar, I had a 70 pounder with me. She was so scared her teeth were chattering! I had hoped that we'd be done with the storms but looks like more are expected tonight. As of 10pm last night yesterday's rainfall was almost 5 inches. *sigh* Good digging though.

Hey Janiece that is some tough weather for sure! I hope you don't wash away. After it is all over maybe you will find some good stuff in the yard, and field, Beale.

Beale, I don't think I'll wash away but I sure am getting tired of stormy weather. Looks like a couple more days at least.
As for finding things, I was hoping to go out after work today but the storm started rolling in again. I stuck a big stick in the spot where the nail and buckle washed up so I will know for sure where it was. It was in an area of the yard I hadn't gotten to yet - I am about 5 ft from getting there. Didn't find much of anything in the field last night but I only went on the edges where the corn cadavers would give me semi solid walking ground. I picked up a shard of crockery and a big red rock. I have no idea what kind of rock it is, it's dark red and really rough looking like the black lava rocks you can get for landscaping. I left it under a tree and will go back to get it on a drier day. I'll keep you updated if I find anything. Shoot, I'm thinking about standing in the front doorway and slinging handfuls of change out just so I can find something! ![]()
