Default Pain remedies

Besides alcohol, what do most of you do to recover from foot and leg pain after say, a 4-5 hour hunt? I'm assuming this applies mostly to those over 30 like me. The rest of you wait....you'll see. It takes me 2-3 days to feel OK again.

I used to like to soak in a big bath tub with real hot water...I then moved down to Florida and the tubs are really small..or I have gotten really big...Still when I travel I fit in the hotel ones so it must be my mini tub at home...Anyway a hot soak will help out and pain you may get....Buster....

I like these.

ThermaCare HeatWraps

I will put one on my sore back, knee, heck even ankle. I like to sleep with it on. They do work.

I also take Aleve, per the Dr.

I try to limit my hunts to 2-3 hours. Anything over that and I will regret it the next day, Beale.

I metal detect in the morning and then go to work in the afternoon. By the time I get home the soreness has worked itself out.
NO PAIN,NO GAIN.

A HOT water bottle wrapped in a towel provides quick relief, especially if I've been winter hunting in the wetsuit. Lakota makes a bunch of good products for muscle pain, all natural ingredients and it works really well.(don't rub your eyes or any delicate parts after applying this stuff or else) Devil's Claw root is a great treatment for most types of arthritic flare ups and if all else fails I take a Robaxacet.
Sometimes I go too far and throw something out (like the time I got picked up by a rogue wave and tossed onto a coral head, tailbone first) then the only relief is Dr. Reid my chiropractor, the guy works miracles.

Cheers,

BDA

I use a muscle rub made my an acquaintance of mine but I'm working on my own formulation for one because I tend to use a lot of it lately. A nice soak in the tub with epsom salts and dead sea salts does wonders to relax those sore and achy areas too.
