I've seen this stuff before! Most sad! I personally believe it has to do with this new VLF Communications for submarines. The east coast of the United States has had some incidences.

Strandings of whales and dolphins have occurred throughout recorded history but nobody seems to have a definitive theory as to why it happens. Various man made and natural phenomena have been suggested and even intentional mass suicide has been theorized. We just don't know why but we do know that it's very sad. Two young women have recently moved in next door and they work at the dolphin research center in Bermuda, I'll make a point of asking them the next time I see them. Perhaps there is new insight to this tragic problem.

I spoke to the ladies from Dolphin Quest this afternoon when I met them on their way down to the beach for a little suntanning. Their responses ranged from anomolies in the earth's magnetic field, sunspot activity, military sonar testing, nuclear radiation poisoning and ships noise. They also said that single dolphins will strand themselves intentionally if they become outcasts from the pod as a way of committing suicide.
In short, the verdict is still out as to why these tragic events occur.

From what little I studied in Marine Biology, I know that Dolphins are highly intelligent and complex creatures. They are playful, logical, problem solving beings that are at least as smart as chimpanzees, probably smarter at least by human standards. They also share some of the human vices, they kill for sport, they indulge in rape, they are also dominating and agressive social beings.
Perhaps that's why we like them so much, they're a lot like us.

Cheers,

BDA

Default yeah

I have also heard that they have saved humans from shark atacks or even drowning. They are wonderful creatures. I did not know about the rape and killing for fun.

While I was in Florida, I would snorkel in the Banna River. One day I filt almost like I was being shocked! Startled the begease out of me. Poked my head out of the water and looked around. Nothing. Back down I go. Again My inerdes started jumping around, like being shocked. This time I seen a Dalphin zipping by me.

It seems they like playing head games with people some times.
