Default ''Activated for flood duty"

Most of the Iowa Guard is activated right now,along with many other states as well I am sure!

Probably 2 weeks or so. Many people in need of help,and many volunteers helping around the clock.Many to save their own homes or communities.

Flood levels in Iowa are higher than the flood of 93!

Wish us well and thanks
Jason

Being a Active Duty Vet, You have no Idea how upset I get by the way the Guard is Treated!!!!!!

They too get pulled from there homes, jobs and placed in the same crap as the Active Duty folks! Do They get treated the same? Yea Right!!!

I really admire what y'all do. Y'all show a genuine concern and go the extra mile whenever there is something like this happening. Be safe, and you will be rewarded for your efforts and good deeds.

Jazdo;

Homefire said it right, for most of my years on active duty in the Marines, reservists were treated like second class citizens... Now the vast majority were active duty folks who moved on, but there were also the guys that went straight in the reserves...With our current situation with reserve and guard units being activated, we need to find a way to make sure they are not forgotten nor ignored. Thank you and the rest of your guard/reserve members...
