Thumbs up First Coin Detecting???

I'm sorry, but I can't remember my very first coin; however, I will never forget my very first SILVER coin:

I had ordered my new Garrett GTA 500 in the spring of 1991 and had already obtained permission to hunt the small city park in Freeman, South Dakota which is only fifteen miles from home. When my detector arrived, I quickly got it together and headed for Freeman. As I recall, I dug a few modern clad coins but then got a good solid hit on a dime. At about three inches I recovered a silver Mercury dime 1944. My first silver coin and I was thrilled to death. And guess what?? I was born in 1944!!! I took this as a good omen.......

Hope everyone has a safe and fun detecting season in 05'
