If they are SOLID inside.....NO

If they are HOLLOW inside....YES

Your's may be the WHITE MUGGIN...If they are hollow all the way up...stem and head...they are edible.

Default Tell me more........

I live in Va., and have lots and lots of mature hardwoods to look in. I've dug wild ginseng before(yes, even down here). Wife noticed some "Lady Slippers" in the woods yesterday, and hasn't seen them in years. I've also got some Goldenrod(I think), and Mayapple growing wild. Can these mushrooms be growing geographically here near the VA/NC line? I'd hate to be out looking for something that may not exist here, but have always heard about these mushrooms. Thanks for any tips.

Default Ramps

GRAW, Ramps are a cross between an onion and garlic. If you ever go to Virginia or W. Virginia this time of the year you would really enjoy going to the "RAMP FESTIVALS" held there.....GREAT eating my friend.

Still don't know if these mushrooms are found geographically in Southern Va. Guess I'll go on-line to see. I'm sure there is a site out there somewhere...........
