Anyone finding any mushrooms?

Walked back to my secret mushroom spot with Mark today and only found 1

Its been cool here so maybe next week they will be more plentyful.
They are very hard to see because they blend in to their surroundings.
Below is one that I spotted.

what do you do with them greg, eat em? they look pretty funky.

I eat them all up. Their the best tasteing mushrooms there is in my opinion. Here in PA they only grow from mid April to mid May in wooded areas.

Read on them Eric, might grow in your area.

I know of a local resort (Nemacolin, where the movie stars go play in the mountain) that pays $60 a pound for them.

I find that they most commonly grow under/around certain trees.

Be sure to read the following pages to educate yourself in determining a True morel (nonpoisonous) from a False morel(poisonous). Its very easy to tell because the true morels are always hollow inside, while the false morels are not hollow.

A personal tip: It always seems easier for me to find them after a good rain, most likely because the rain darkens the ground cover making the morels easier to spot.
